On the 17th April, more than 120 days after the big opening, the ski season in Borovets has ended

This year for the resort's 120th anniversary the snow conditions were constantly good, the positive emotions were in abundance and the number of snow fans kept increasing!•In the beginning of the season the new foundation "Petar Popangelov and Friends for Borovets" was established to support the development of the winter sports among the young people from Samokov and the region. With the support of the foundation more than 10 ski and snowboard races for children took place on the slopes of Borovets this season.

For another year Borovets also took part in the global celebrations of the World Snow Day and the national initiative "Learn to Ski", where hundreds of children made their first steps in skiing.•Throughout the season all freestyle fans enjoyed the two terrain parks - Snow Park Borosport and the new suitable for beginners Family Park. Those who enjoy exploring the untouched terrains of the mountain could step into the adventure of their lifetime with the 9 new ski touring routes, developed with Borovets Climbing & Mountaineering team - Martin Mareshki and Viktor Varoshkin.

This season safety in the mountain was again a top priority of Borosport. In the beginning of the season Borovets became the first ski resort in Bulgaria with modern technical equipment and warning signs, ensuring avalanche safety.

Along with fun days in the snow, the nights in Borovets were also attracting many visitors with the great night skiing conditions, the growing apres-ski scene and lots of live entertainment from guest like Grafa, Poli Genova, Maria Ilieva, Akaga, Orlin Pavlov, D2, Lariss, Manuel Riva, Dj Andrey Exx, DJ Tarkan, Diva Vocal and many others.

With the closure of the ski season, the preparations for the summer have started. New variations of the mountain bike tracks, scenic hiking routes and challenging climbing objects are just few of the activities that will surprise all guests in Borovets this summer.
